A Message From Our President

Welcome to the NJ InfraGard web site.  We have an active InfraGard program in New Jersey with a membership of over 400 members.  The New Jersey InfraGard Chapter is dedicated to supporting the mission; “InfraGard is an information sharing and analysis effort serving the interests and combining the knowledge base of a wide range of members. At its most basic level, InfraGard is a partnership between the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the private sector. InfraGard is an association of businesses, academic institutions, state and local law enforcement agencies, and other participants dedicated to sharing information and intelligence to prevent hostile acts against the United States. InfraGard Chapters are geographically linked with FBI Field Office territories.”  The New Jersey InfraGard chapter is linked with the FBI’s Newark Field Division.
There are no dues or fees associated with becoming a member of NJ InfraGard.  The New Jersey InfraGard Chapter is planning six monthly meetings each year starting in 2013.  Meetings are planned for February, April, June, September, October and December.  Meetings are normally scheduled for the third Tuesday of each month, between 10:00 am and 1:00 pm, at various venues around the state.  The topics vary, and are all focused on the protection of critical infrastructure.  Most meetings require attendees to be a member of InfraGard.  In June of each year, a meeting is planned at the FBI Newark Facility, and in December of each year an annual fund raiser is conducted.  The December meeting is the normally the only event during the year whereby a cost is associated with attendance.   The cost offsets the breakfast and lunch that are provided during the meeting, and a small donation to the chapter is included to support the fiscal responsibilities and operational needs of the chapter.
If you are interested in becoming a member of InfraGard, a Membership Application must be completed; however, before you fill out your application, please read the InfraGard Code of Ethics and browse the other Policies and Procedures. As a member of InfraGard, you will be expected to abide by these guidelines.
I hope to see you at a future NJ InfraGard Meeting.
Best Regards,
Bob Almberg
NJ InfraGard President and Chairman of the Board
